Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Bildio app and website. By using Bildio, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. We've kept this straightforward — here's what you need to know.

What Bildio Is

Bildio is a renovation visualization and planning tool. It uses your iPhone's built-in scanning technology to capture your room's dimensions, lets you select fixtures and finishes from a curated catalog, generates visual renders of your selections in your space, and produces a pre-construction design package you can share with your contractor.

Bildio is designed to help you communicate your renovation vision clearly. It is a planning tool — not a substitute for professional assessment by a licensed contractor, architect, or engineer.

What Bildio Is Not

This is important, so we want to be clear:

• Not a contractor or construction service. Bildio does not perform renovations, hire contractors, or guarantee any construction outcome.
• Not a professional measurement service. Room scans are generated by your iPhone's sensors and are approximate. Dimensions should always be verified by your contractor before purchasing materials or beginning work.
• Not a guarantee of final appearance. Renovation renders are AI-generated visualizations intended to illustrate your selections in your space. Actual installed results will differ due to lighting, material variation, installation techniques, and other factors. Renders are a communication tool, not a promise.
• Not a retailer. Product pricing shown in the app is directional and based on publicly available information at the time of catalog updates. Prices, availability, and specifications may change. Always confirm with the supplier before purchasing.
• Not building code advice. Bildio does not verify building code compliance, permit requirements, or structural feasibility. Your contractor is responsible for ensuring all work meets local building codes and regulations.

Your Account and Projects

Each project you create in Bildio captures a single room scan and the design selections you make for that space. Project data is stored on our servers and associated with your device.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, including any email addresses used for design package delivery.

Payments

All payments are processed through Apple's in-app purchase system. Bildio does not collect or store your payment details. Refund requests are handled by Apple through their standard App Store refund process.

Design Package Delivery

When you generate a pre-construction design package, Bildio sends it to the email address you provide. You are responsible for providing the correct email address.

Bildio is not responsible for whether your contractor receives, opens, or acts on the design package. The package is a communication tool to help facilitate your renovation conversation.

Design packages are accessible via a unique link for 12 months after generation. After that, the link may expire.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use Bildio for its intended purpose: personal renovation planning. You may not:

• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit renders or design packages generated by the app
• Use the app to scan spaces you do not own or have permission to renovate
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, tamper with, or interfere with the app's operation
• Use the app in any way that violates applicable laws

Intellectual Property

The Bildio app, website, brand, and underlying technology are owned by Bildio. The renders and design packages generated for your projects are yours to use for personal renovation planning purposes, including sharing with contractors and suppliers.

Product images, names, and descriptions in the catalog belong to their respective manufacturers and suppliers and are used in the app for product identification purposes.

Limitation of Liability

Bildio is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bildio is not liable for:

• Decisions made based on scan measurements, renders, or product information provided by the app
• Material purchases, contractor engagements, or renovation outcomes informed by the app
• Differences between rendered visualizations and actual installed results
• Product availability, pricing changes, or specification discrepancies
• Contractor actions or inactions after receiving a design package
• Data loss due to device failure, network interruptions, or service outages

Our total liability for any claim related to the app is limited to the amount you paid for the specific project in question.

Termination

You can stop using Bildio at any time by deleting the app. If you'd like your data deleted from our servers, email hello@bildio.app.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the app if these terms are violated, though we'd rather work things out first.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you through the app or by email. Continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. If you are located in the United States, you agree that any disputes will be resolved in the courts of British Columbia, Canada, except where prohibited by local law. If local law requires that disputes be resolved in your jurisdiction, that requirement will apply.
