Bildio is a renovation visualization and planning app. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it. We've written this in plain language because you should be able to understand how your data is used without needing a law degree.

What We Collect

When you use Bildio, we collect the following:

• Room scan data — When you scan your room, your iPhone's built-in scanning technology captures the dimensions, layout, and spatial features of the space. This data is processed on your device and sent to our servers to generate your project.
• Room photos — After scanning, you take photos of each wall. These are used to generate renovation renders and are included in your pre-construction design package.
• Product selections — The fixtures, finishes, and materials you choose during the design process.
• Email addresses — Addresses you provide when using the service, such as your own email or your contractor's email for design package delivery.
• Payment information — Bildio uses Apple's in-app purchase system. We do not collect or store your credit card details — Apple handles all payment processing.
• Usage analytics — We collect anonymous usage data to understand how people use the app and where we can improve. This includes things like which screens you visit and how long you spend on each step, but does not include the content of your scans, photos, or selections.

Why We Collect It

We use your information to:

• Generate renovation renders from your room photos and product selections
• Produce and deliver your pre-construction design package
• Process your purchase through Apple's payment system
• Improve the app based on how people use it
• Respond to support requests

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your room photos or scan data for advertising. Your data exists to power your renovation project and improve the product — nothing else.

How We Store Your Data

Your project data — scans, photos, selections, and renders — is stored securely on cloud servers hosted in North America. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

During the scanning process, some data is temporarily stored on your device before being uploaded to our servers.

Third-Party Services

Bildio relies on third-party services to deliver the product. Each receives only the data necessary for its specific function:

• Cloud hosting and storage — Stores your project data including scans, photos, and renders
• AI image generation — Receives your room photos and product information to generate renovation renders
• AI quality evaluation — Reviews generated renders to assess visual quality
• Email delivery — Sends your design package to the email address you provide
• Product analytics — Collects anonymous usage data to help us improve the app
• Payment processing — Apple handles all in-app purchase transactions

We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or social media platforms.

How Long We Keep Your Data

We retain your project data for at least 12 months after your last activity. After that period, your data may be deleted. If you'd like your data deleted sooner, you can request this at any time (see Your Rights below).

Design packages shared with your contractor are accessible via a unique link for 12 months after generation. After that, the link may expire.

Email addresses collected through our waitlist are retained until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data — Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Correct your data — Ask us to fix any information that is inaccurate
• Delete your data — Ask us to delete your personal information and project data
• Withdraw consent — If you previously consented to data collection, you can withdraw that consent at any time

Children's Privacy

Bildio is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at hello@bildio.app and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app or by email. The effective date at the top of this page will always reflect when the policy was last updated.
